Privacy Policy

This page is an English translation of our Datenschutzerklärung. If there are any differences, the German version applies.

This privacy policy describes which personal data is processed when you visit rankready.de. In short: the website is a purely static site, doesn't set any tracking or advertising cookies, doesn't use any tracking or analytics tools and doesn't embed any external fonts, videos or social media plugins. The only thing stored is your language choice, if you explicitly choose a language (see Section 3).

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

2. Hosting on Cloudflare Pages

This website is served via Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare operates a worldwide network of data centers (content delivery network) through which the pages are delivered.

When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. This includes in particular:

  • your IP address,
  • the date and time of the request,
  • the requested address (URL),
  • the amount of data transferred and the status code,
  • browser type, operating system and language setting (user agent),
  • where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer).

This data is processed in Cloudflare's server logs. We don't analyze this data ourselves and don't combine it with other data.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely, reliably and quickly.

Language version by country: When you open a German page that has an English version, Cloudflare determines the country the request comes from based on your IP address. If the request doesn't come from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein or Luxembourg, you're redirected to the English version of that page, unless you've chosen a language (see Section 3). The country is only used at the moment of the request to make this decision; we don't store it and don't create profiles from it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in showing you the website in a language that suits you.

Transfers to third countries: Cloudflare may also process data in the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and additionally bases transfers on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't set any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services (for example, no Google Analytics and no audience measurement). The only cookie the website itself may set stores your language choice (see below). No user profiles are created. There's no comment function, no contact form and no newsletter.

The website doesn't load any content from third parties. The font and stylesheets are served directly from rankready.de, not from an external service.

Language setting (cookie and localStorage): If you choose a language using the language switcher (DE/EN) or the link in the language suggestion, the website saves this choice in a cookie named “rr_lang” (value “de” or “en”, stored for one year, only for rankready.de) and additionally in your browser's local storage (localStorage, entry “rr-lang-pref” with the value “de” or “en”). The cookie is also set when you open a link with the suffix “?lang=de” (which explicitly takes you to the German version) or if you've already chosen a language before. If you close the language suggestion, only the value “dismissed” is saved in localStorage. The cookie is sent to the server (Cloudflare) with page requests so that you aren't redirected to a different language version against your choice. It contains no identifier and isn't used for analytics or advertising. In addition, a small script on the page reads your browser's language setting in order to show a suggestion for the other language version where appropriate; this happens only on your device. You can delete the cookie and the entry at any time in your browser settings (clear cookies or stored site data). Storing them is strictly necessary to keep the language setting you explicitly chose; it's therefore done without consent on the basis of Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act).

RankReady participates in the Amazon EU Associates program (Amazon PartnerNet). The provider is Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l., 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg. Links to Amazon marked with an asterisk (*) are ad links.

As long as you don't click such a link, no data is transmitted to Amazon. If you click an ad link, you're taken to Amazon. The link contains our partner ID so Amazon can attribute a possible purchase to this website. Amazon may use cookies or similar technologies on your device for this purpose. Amazon is responsible for data processing on Amazon's pages; we don't receive any personal data about you from Amazon, only aggregated information about clicks and sales.

The legal basis for including the ad links is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in funding this website. Amazon itself provides information about the use of cookies on its pages in its privacy notice and cookie notices on amazon.de.

Articles contain links to external pages, for example to official support pages of game developers. You only leave rankready.de when you click such a link; the operator of the target page is responsible for data processing there.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access to your processed data (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority where you live.

Since we don't store any user data ourselves, we can usually only answer requests about the server logs with Cloudflare's support.

7. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the services used change. Last updated: September 2026.
